Course fees are published on each course page. They are indicative and subject to change, so the fee confirmed in your written offer is the one that applies to you.
What the fee covers
Tuition, all learning and assessment materials, access to our online learning system for the duration of your course, on-campus workshops, the arrangement and supervision of your work placement, and the issuing of your certificate or Statement of Attainment.
It does not cover other costs you will need to arrange and pay for yourself before placement. Depending on your course, these may include:
- A National Police Check
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Required immunisations
- Travel to campus or your placement site
These checks are issued by government or third-party bodies, not ACHC, so their fees and processing times are set by the issuer. We will tell you exactly which ones your course requires and when to apply for them, and replacement of a certificate that has already been issued is also not included. Any incidental charges we do charge are listed in the Fees & Charges Schedule on Our Resources.
Ways to pay
- Upfront. Paying the full fee before your course starts attracts a discount on several qualifications — the amount is shown on the course page.
- Payment plan. Instalments spread across the course. Talk to admissions about what is workable for you.
- Employer-funded. If your employer is paying, we invoice them directly. Ask us for a quote you can take to your manager.
We never take more in prepaid fees than the protection arrangements set out in our Fees, Charges & Refund Policy allow.
Government funding
Subsidised training places are available in some states and territories for eligible students, and eligibility depends on your residency, your age, your previous qualifications and where you live. It changes regularly, so rather than publish something that goes stale, we check it for you — tell us your situation and we will tell you honestly what you are likely to qualify for.
ACHC does not offer VET Student Loans. Be cautious of any provider that suggests a loan without clearly explaining what you will owe and when repayment starts.
Refunds
You may be entitled to a refund if you withdraw, if we cancel or fail to deliver a course, or in cases of genuine hardship. What you are entitled to, and by when, is set out in the Fees, Charges & Refund Policy — download it from Our Policies and read it before you accept an offer.
Refund requests are made in writing using the Refund Request Form. If you disagree with a refund decision you can appeal it; see Complaints & Appeals.
